Gregory Wilson

Graduated from College of Oceaneering California USA in 1997 to begin his career in the Energy industry in Trinidad as a Lead Diver specializing in underwater inspection methods. From 2006 to 2007 his portfolio apart from Business Development Co-coordinator, was that of Diving Supervisor for Air Diving Projects undertaken by one of Trinidad’s then leading Diving companies in their Shallow Water and Shipping departments. This organization also utilized Gregory as an instructor for in-house training of their divers during his tenure.

In 2013, MTCS Ltd (Maritime Training & Competence Solutions) awarded Gregory a certificate – Competence Maritime Competence Assessor (Remote Technology, Hydrographic Survey, Diving & Deck Activities). This training prepared Gregory to be conversant with current best industry practices associated with technical, operational and assurance processes for safe execution of subsea projects as it relates to duty of care and legal responsibility of operators and contractors.

Gregory was further assessed in 2014 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and the standards of assessment as laid down by the awarding body EAL (EMTA) and deemed competent at the highest position covered by the scheme in his discipline – Offshore Project Manager (Diving & ROV).

His training and experience set the foundation for Gregory to pursue other qualifications where he was assessed and was certified as being competent to execute industry relevant assurance duties. His qualifications and competencies translate to a robust 25 years wealth of diversified experience with in-depth knowledge of the subsea and subsea construction industry. Additionally, he received formal training in Incident Command System from the ICS institute in the USA. Gregory possesses considerable practical experience in Crisis Management, participating in drills and working with an Incident Management Team ensuring the safety of people and protection of the environment.

Gregory currently continues to provide expertise to clients in the Energy sector, in service of documenting a systematic approach in verifying the adequacy of processes, procedures and compliance with known industry standards and guidelines with focus on delivery of safe consistent operations at the worksite.
